Online intensives for therapists in TX, FL, LA, VA

❋ A Focused Way for Helpers to Heal ❋

Sometimes as therapists, we hold space for others while quietly carrying our own stress, vicarious trauma, or unresolved experiences.

EMDR Intensives for Therapists offer a focused and efficient way to support your own healing and growth—so you can continue showing up for your clients with clarity, confidence, and calm. Without years of weekly sessions.

Taking care of yourself while navigating life transitions (like break-ups, divorce, parenthood, caring for aging parents, death of loved ones) can be hard in this field. This is a hard job to have during certain seasons of being a human. And it’s unavoidable to have times when parts of us are activated when we work with client’s experiences in session. Are you looking for focused support that lightens your load and helps you feel grounded again?

You get to be the one cared for in our time together. I’m experienced of balancing that work with therapists. I get that sometimes you can’t turn off your clinical brain in your own sessions- and that is ok! You have a wealth of adaptive information in that work brain of yours, and we will help make the connections where you get the benefit of really believing those things for yourself and getting unstuck.

My approach to help you

EMDR therapy intensives for therapists are designed to condense therapeutic progress, allowing you to move through internal blocks, reduce or eliminate symptoms, and create meaningful change in a shorter period of time.

This can be preferred for therapists to carve out a focused time to reach your goals. Regular weekly therapy sessions with EMDR work are hard for therapists. You may work weeks until you find relief in a traditional 50 minute session, and in the meantime your day job exposes you to the very themes you are working on.

My therapy intensive approach with EMDR taps into your brain’s innate ability to heal—offering deep, sustained relief through an accelerated format. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy is a well-researched, evidence-based treatment and the gold standard for healing trauma. It also helps address anxiety, burnout, grief, imposter syndrome, and the emotional fatigue that can come from sustained caregiving or clinical work. EMDR treatment can enhance performance and confidence in both personal and professional settings, helping you reconnect to purpose and ease in your work.

These EMDR Intensives are offered in 3–6 hour blocks over the course of 1–3 days, or through multiple 90-minute sessions in a week. Sessions can be completed in-person in my Lakewood Dallas office or online if you’re in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, or Virginia, depending on your preference and needs.

Frequently Asked Questions about Intensives for Therapists

  • I currently offer 1-3 day EMDR Intensives booked for 3-6 hours of therapy each day. You can also scheduled multiple 90 minute sessions in a week. Intensives are held during business hours on weekdays or on weekends. When we meet for your initial assessment session prior to the intensive, we will discuss the best format for your needs. Each EMDR Intensive is individualized to meet your needs. Read more on my blog about EMDR intensives with me.

  • During our free phone consultation, I will screen your fit for EMDR Intensive therapy. If you are interested in finding relief sooner, have something that feels overwhelming or you want to resolve, and have 1-3 days to commit to therapy- an EMDR Intensive may be a good fit.

  • Yes. As a clinician and an EMDR client myself- I’ve seen the results. EMDR is the most well-researched therapy for treating trauma and the results are positive.  Multiple respected institutions recognize EMDR therapy as an effective treatment including: The American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychological Association, the International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies, The National Alliance on Mental Illness, the US Dept of Veterans Affairs/Dept of Defence, and the World Health Organization. EMDR International Association has great information about learning more through videos or research studies.

  • Research shows EMDR Intensives can be just as effective as weekly EMDR therapy. However EMDR Intensives allow you to make these gains in a much shorter timeframe.

In addition to having more hours of therapy in a shorter timeframe, more time is spent on treatment to resolve symptoms. This helps you move towards symptom reduction or elimination faster. Weekly 50 minute EMDR sessions often involve the therapist spending time opening the session, and time at the end of sessions containing and closing the incomplete session. This leaves about 30 minutes of EMDR reprocessing a session.

  • Half-day intensives are $750 (3 hours of therapy) and full day intensives are $1,500 (6 hours of therapy per day) when held on weekdays. Weekend intensives are available for: $850 half-days (3 hours therapy), or $1,700 full day (6 hours therapy). Medical or Mental Health Insurance often does not cover or reimburse the cost of EMDR Intensives at this time.

I charge a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold the dates for the intensive. This is applied to the balance of your intensive. The remaining balance is due the first day of session.

  • Clients may reschedule the intensive one week prior to the scheduled date of the intensive without penalty. If client completes the EMDR Intensive, the deposit is applied to their Intensive cost.

  • Yes! I am able to work with clients who are physically located in Texas, Florida, Louisiana, or Virginia at the time of sessions. If you live in a state I am not able to practice in, you can travel to my Dallas office for in-person sessions, or to Texas, Florida, Louisiana, or Virginia for online sessions. I have training & experience facilitating intensives online and in-person- with great results each way.
